my winter break is 6 weeks long, i feel like i should bring my whole life home.

but i dont want to carry my life on the plane.

When I have to relocate for a bit I sort everything I think I need, then go through and make sure I cut my pile in half, then I leave it and I do it again with my small pile. I’ve found my life fits in a duffel bag, a messenger bag and a shaving kit for the most part.

I packed almost everything I had up north to come back home. literally like everything. One massive suitcase that I somehow convinced security to let me take on as a carry on and a camera bag.

It would be really cool to organize a get together of flickr members to gather every summer(starting in summer 2011) in one place like a photo-workshop of sorts? But basically just a hang out, take pictures, and learn from each other type deal. Maybe rent a campsite(s) for 2-4days and all do the old fashion camp out deal, since the woods usually provides for good locations(and campsites are dirt cheap). And just change where the campsite is each summer( east coast, west coast, etc).. it will be an invite only type deal so the numbers don’t get out of control(I have a list forming in my head, but waiting to see if any of those people respond to this) . But just an idea… I’m thinking it would be hard to make happen, but it would be worth a shot. If anyone is remotely interested in helping putting this together then flickr mail me or give me your email address?

There’s a really cool area a bit north of SF where they held phoot camp (If you haven’t heard of phoot camp… google away! ) this year I believe. I actually really need to find out where exactly it was, because it looked perfect for camping out there and taking photos for a few days.

I am currently 16,000 ft in the air.

haha really? I live about 15 minutes away from golden gate, and I’ve never walked it either. It’s crazy to think it’s one of the top suicide spots. Definitely a beautiful spot to die though hah.

i went to my moms work to scan my film photos. and when i came home i noticed that her scanner had cut off part of each photo! so that was such a waste of time blaaaah. i only got some lame drawings scanned properly… :(

and it sucks because i hardly ever have time to stop by her work, and now i’m leaving for san fransisco and later denmark and by then a month will have gone and yeah.

Sucks for me too because now I have to wait a month to see your film pics :P Haha awww but really I’m sorry. That’s super annoying. How long are you going to be in San Francisco for?

haha awww!:) well they really aren’t any good it’s just a bit frustrating 8) i’ll be in san fransisco for a week or so and then we’ll be in denmark for christmas and my birthday and new year:)

nikoline, if you want to go take pictures while you’re in SF go into the depths of golden gate park or go up to Mt. Davidson. Probably my two favorite places to shoot in SF.
